So we have reached the final episode of Classic Clashes 2010! This season has been filled with fast-paced, hard-hitting, strategic and passionate rugby and every single team that has played in a Classic Clash has done their school proud, regardless of what the scoreboard said.

Our last stop for the season is Mossel Bay, where we join Tristan for the clash between Hoërskool Punt and Langenhoven Gimnasium. Can the Gimmies roar onto Punt's home ground and make some waves for the home team?

Next up in the show, we showcase the St John's College International Schools' Golf Tournament which took place in Sun City on the Gary Player Country Club course. Maps was there to take us through some of the best schools' golf in the country.

In Momentum Masterclass this week, Gary Gold runs us through an alignment drill, focused on keeping up defenses in the backline.

Do you think you have what it takes to be an FNB Classic Clashes Presenter?

We are going to be auditioning for new presenters in 2011 and we're looking for guys and girls who are energetic, out-going and most importantly passionate about rugby!

You MUST be able to speak both English AND Afrikaans fluently
You need to have an excellent understanding of rugby as well as a passion for it.
You need to be between the ages of 18 and 30.
You will need to be available to present at the games which are on Saturdays.
We are only looking for presenters in the CAPE TOWN, PORT ELIZABETH and DURBAN areas. If you do not live in these areas, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.

Episode 27: Channel Change

The premier of Classic Clashes Episode 27 will be broadcast tonight on SuperSport 2 and not SuperSport 1 as usual. This is because of the LIVE broadcast of the Ryder Cup which will be on SuperSport 1 tonight. Please note that the time of the broadcast will remain the same.

Episode 27: Oudtshoorn vs Outeniqua and Diamantveld vs Noord-Kaap

This week's episode of Classic Clashes is the second last one of the 2010 season! To kick the episode off, we take a trip to Oudtshoorn, the home of "Die Struisies" and join Tristan who will be our host for the clash between Hoërskool Oudtshoorn and Hoërskool Outeniqua. "Die Kwaggas" as Outeniqua is more commonly known, have dominated this particular clash against "Die Struisies" for the last 17 years, and Oudtshoorn have previously been unable to overcome the powerhouse that is the "Kwagga" team. Will 2010 mark a new beginning for "Die Struisies", or will "Die Kwaggas" continue their reign?

Next up in the show, we travel north to the town of Kimberley where we meet up with Tobie and Jenna for the clash between Hoërskool Diamantveld and Hoërskool Noord-Kaap. Tobie will take us through the epic rugby clash between these two schools, whilst Jenna will be on the netball courts for the Netball Classic Clash. These schools have a lot of rivalry between them, and this game is always a fantastic ones for the fans.

Episode 26: Cradock vs Gill College and New Orleans vs Klein Nederburg

This week on Classic Clashes, we take a trip to the beautiful town of Cradock in the Eastern Cape and join Lesedi who will be our host for the clash between Cradock High School and their rivals, Gill College. Don't let the beauty of the town fool you.... the boys from both teams are tough and they are fired up for the clash - who will be the victors in 2010?

Next, we travel further down into the Western Cape to revisit the magnificent town of Paarl and we meet up with Andri. Once again, our clash takes place at the legendary Faure Street Stadium in the heart of the town, where many rugby greats have shed blood, sweat and tears on the field. New Orleans are hosting Klein Nederburg this year, and the rivalry is just as fierce as ever. Klein Nederburg are the defending champions and they've been the victors of this clash for 3 years in a row now....does New Orleans have what it takes to stop this becoming the 4th year of victory for their opponents?

Episode 25: Volkskool vs Union and Hoërskool Pacaltsdorp vs George High School

This week on Classic Clashes, we take a trip to the 2010 Town of the Year winner, Graaff-Reinet, and join Joey who takes us through the the clash between long-time rivals, Hoër Volkskool and their English counterparts, Union High School. In the harsh setting of the Great Karoo, the boys from both teams are tough and completely at home with the intense high temperatures and dry conditions in which they play. Stay tuned because this Classic Clash is set to turn up the heat in Graaff-Reinet even further.....

Next, we meet up with Tristan to visit the usually peaceful town of Pacaltsdorp near George in the Eastern Cape. Only it's not going to be so peaceful today....it's the clash between Hoërskool Pacaltsdorp and George High School! These teams are going head to head with one another in the battle for the Classic Clashes trophy and we can't wait to see if defending champions George will be able to keep the hungry Pacs team at bay... Don't miss this one...it promises to be an entertaining game played by two teams with an immense passion for the game of rugby.

Episode 24: Special Edition - Grey College vs Paul Roos Gimnasium

This week's show on Classic Clashes is the last of our Special Edition episodes. And we've definitely saved two of the best for last....

Grey College are hosting Paul Roos Gimnasium in Bloemfontein for this unbelievable clash between these two schools. The history and ethos of both schools is heavily entrenched in rugby and the game is pulsing through their veins...because of this, many Springboks have been cast from both the Grey College and Paul Roos fields...

Considering that both of these schools have made the FNB Top 20 Schools list, this promises to be a cracker of a game. Paul Roos are the defending champions in 2010. Will Grey College have the home ground advantage, or will Paul Roos make "Bloemfontein, The City of Roses" their own?

Episode 23: Oakdale vs Marlow and Hawston vs Hermanus

This week on Classic Clashes we travel to the beautiful town of Riversdal in the Eastern Cape, where we are joined by Andri to watch this titanic clash between the two oldest landbou or agricultural schools in the country....Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale vs Hoër Landbouskool Marlow! The hosts, Oakdale, are currently ranked 16th in our FNB Top 20 Schools list.

Next, we head further down the coast to the Western Cape to visit the town of Hermanus, famous all over the world for their amazing whale sightings. This is a new FNB Classic Clash and it will be the first time that this game is shown on the program. The hosts this year are Hawston Sekondêr, however the game will be played at the Hoërskool Hermanus grounds. These schools have been playing together for quite a while, however Hawston have not won a game against Hermanus in 16 years....They assure us that this is indeed Hawston's year. Be sure not to miss this great example of schoolboy rugby!

This week on Classic Clashes we travel to Kroonstad with the lovely Anneke for the clash between Die Afrikaanse Hoërskool Kroonstad vs Hoërskool Kroonstad . The Rooies and the Bloues, as they are more affectionately known in the town, are long-time rivals and both teams will be itching to show the other team what they're made of. Don't miss this one!

Next, we travel to Welkom and we hook up with Joey to watch what happens in the game between Welkom Gimnasium vs Hoërskool Goudveld.

In Momentum Masterclass this week, Gary chats to Steve McIntyre, the director of Rugby IQ, and they take a look at Muscle Recovery and give us a few tips on how to look after your muscles after a big game, especially when playing at festivals or playing consecutive games in the week.

This week on Classic Clashes, our first stop is in Aliwal North in the Eastern Cape where we join Joey for the clash between Aliwal North High School and Hoërskool Hangklip. This game promises to be a fantastic game to watch and let's see who comes out on top!

Next, we travel further down to Western Cape to Wellington and we hook up with Anda for the game between Hoërskool Bergrivier and Weltevrede Sekondêr. This game is always a good one for the spectators, the atmosphere is wonderful and the school's bands provide much entertainment for the fans.

In Momentum Masterclass this week, Gary chats to Steve McIntyre, the director of Rugby IQ, and they take a look at Nutrition and what you should and shouldn't be eating before your big game.

Episode 20: Special Edition - Paarl Boys' High vs Paarl Gimnasium

This week on Classic Clashes, we join Gideon and Tobie in the Western Cape for one of our special edition shows. We travel to the little valley of Paarl, where the rugby and the passion for the game are anything but little!

These two schools have an incredible rugby history with each other, and they have been fighting it out since 1915. Over the years, the results have varied, with many games being won, lost or drawn, but as Stephan Coetzee, the Captain of Paarl Boys' High said, "This game must be played as if no other games have ever been played, as if there is no history between us. The only game that matters is this one."

We chatted to both Captains a few days before the game and both maintained that it was going to be a close game as the teams were very evenly matched.

The coaches also weren't giving too much away, but they were confident that their teams had prepared as much as possible, and that their boys were going to give it their all.

At the end of the day, this game between two of South Africa's best rugby schools promises to be one of the most momentous games of 2010. With over 25 000 spectators, this is the largest school boy rugby game in the world....you don't want to miss it....

This week on FNB Classic Clashes, we hook up with Anda in Cape Town to watch the epic clash between two of the oldest schools in South Africa....Wynberg Boys' High School and SACS. There is a lot of history between these two schools and we're sitting on the edges of our seats. Which of these teams is going to bite the dust?

After that, we head on to the little town of Bethlehem in the Free State where Tobie and Jenna take us around. Bethlehem Voortrekker Hoërskool and Witteberg Hoërskool give us a run for our money and this clash is sure to be well worth the watch! Jenna also spends some time on the courts and brings us the best in Classic Clashes Netball between Voortrekker and Witteberg.Guys, you don't want to miss these Bethlehem beauties!

This week on FNB Classic Clashes, our first stop is in Durban for the clash between Glenwood and DHS. This is a particularly special clash because Glenwood is celebrating it's 100th year since it's establishment, and DHS is celebrating it's 100th year of playing rugby! The Green Machines are going to be tough to be on their home ground, but lets see what damage DHS can do! Tobie covers this awesome clash.

After that, we join Andri in Cape Town for the titanic clash between Rondebosch Boys High and Bishops. These two schools have a lot of history together, and their rivalry goes way back...let's see who proves to be the stronger team on the day!
